I have a question similar of Taeolian. I have a macbook pro from early 2011 - i7 Quadcore - 2.0 Ghz - 16g ram with SSD 500 g disk. I use omnisphere 1 at Live, and works ok using the 6-8 sounds simultaneously (Live mode). Do you think that will work also with Omni 2??? I have a Macbook Air 2.13ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 128GB solid state hard drive, and 2GB 1067mhz DDR3 Ram. Ive tried running omnisphere and it works however after a 5-10 minutes of trying different sounds etc, the sounds start getting a static sound to it, sort of like a crackling sound. It happens with big plugins that i use, however doesnt happen on smaller plugins, so im thinking its due to my computer, correct me if im wrong but i dont think i even have the minimum specs to run omnisphere properly.
I looked online and found a Mac Pro 2.66ghz Intel Xeon Quad Core, 1000GB hard drive, and 8GB 667Mhz DDR2 FB-DIMM ram. Would this be faster than my macbook air? based on the specs? and would it be able to run omnisphere?
